Battery & Charger Maintenance
Bugle Forklift is pleased to offer battery & charger maintenance and complete repairs for all of your industrial battery and
charger needs.
Our current and well maintained mobile service fleet, which is backed by our total service shop and manned by our experienced service technician’s
is always ready to meet your needs. We are committed to your electric forklift needs with a full time dedicated technician to provide on-site and in-shop battery and charger
service.
At Bugle Forklift Sales & Rentals Ltd, our personnel are advised to perform battery & charger maintenance with emphasis being placed upon
minimizing your maintenance cost while at the same time, keeping your equipment in a safe and productive operating condition. The series of checks that must be done are intended to spot and correct
mechanical problems early, before they turn into costly repairs.
Here at Bugle we believe in preserving the environment as such Bugle has recently taken on the task recycling of worn out industrial batteries and
chargers, allowing for proper disposal and reuse of these valuable commodities when possible. Should you have an old battery or charger that you wish to get rid of, we can arrange
shipping to our location with properly trained and certified TDG driver and properly dispose of these products.
As a result of our entry into battery & charger recycling we have come across a fantastic new battery process to reverse the damages of battery
sulfation. Battery sulfation is the single biggest reason for loss of capacity (running time) in all industrial lead acid batteries. This new process has been
revolutionary to extending the life of industrial batteries.
The Batt-Recon battery desulfation system is the single most important advance in battery
care technology in the last 100 years..!
WHAT IS BATTERY SULFATION?
Battery sulfation is a normal by-product of charging and discharging lead-acid batteries. As the battery discharges the sulfate radical
(SO4) is attracted from the electrolyte (PBSO4) to the plate and combines with the lead to form lead sulfate (PbSO4).Under perfect
circumstances the lead sulfate would be completely recombined into the electrolyte during the charging process. However, in the real world, a portion of the lead sulfate remains stuck to the plate
and begins hardening into “level 2” sulfation. As this accumulates, the resistance of the battery increases and the electro-chemical reaction necessary for the good functioning of the battery is
impaired. The battery performance is gradually reduced to the point where it becomes practically unusable, even though there may be substantial amounts of active material remaining in the
plates. As the “level 2” sulfation remains unchecked on the plates, it crystallizes into a very hard form of sulfation called
“level 3”. Sulfation in general is further aggravated by less-than-perfect charging practices or by the batteries being left idle for a period of time, especially in a discharged
state. In the past, although “level 2” sulfated batteries could sometimes be treated with lengthy and costly processes,
“level 3” sulfation was considered as IRREVERSIBLE…
UNTIL NOW…!!!
Bugle forklift now offers the Batt-Recon process to the Industry. This unique and exclusive process uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)
technology to safely and rapidly “break off” and dissolve the “level 2 and 3” sulfation and crystallization from the plates and return the sulfate radical back to the electrolyte where it
belongs. The strength (specific gravity) of the electrolyte is thereby restored and the plates are cleaned to provide full access
to the active material. This will allow the battery to again perform like new until all of the active material is depleted. The process is performed on location, without removal of the batteries, in
as little as 30 to 90 minutesWatch below to see the effects of the Batt-Recon desulfation unit in action…
